The location affected is at 10 Marble Ave. in Thornwood, and the closure is scheduled for later this year.
In a letter to customers, Kenneth Fitzpatrick, Chase's market director/banking, wrote, "Your relationship is important to us, so we invite you to visit our branch nearby" at Thornwood Rose Hill shopping center.
The Marble Avenue branch, adjoining the Saw Mill River Parkway, is expected to be closed permanently at noon on Friday, Sept. 21, Chase Bank officials said.
In addition to preserving the Rose Hill branch at 608 Columbus Ave. in Thornwood, Fitzpatrick said that a second nearby bank branch at 17 Washington Ave. in Pleasantville will remain open.
Customers are being told that their accounts will remain the same, "so please continue to use your existing debit, ATM cards, checks and credit cards," Fitzpatrick wrote.
If you have a Safe Deposit Box at the Marble Avenue bank, additional details will be sent to Chase customers in the next 30 days.
Customers with questions are asked to call 800-935-9935 for personal accounts and 800-242-7338 for business accounts.
